Mira Bartok's memoir of family dysfunction and mental illness,
The Memory Palace, will be discussed at the next meeting of
Memoirs and Coffee on Tuesday, January 24th, at 10:30 a.m.
The Memory Palace recounts the damaging effects her mother's schizophrenia had on both the author and her sister. At one point both sisters severed all contact with their mother because of her destructive behavior. Nonetheless, Mira Bartok found a need to reconnect with her mother when she herself was recovering from a debilitating accident. The book discussion will be led by Pat Kennedy-Grant who invites new members to join
Memoirs and Coffee. Copies of
